Frequently asked questions

What does “unlocked” mean?

The device was reported as not SIM-locked at check time, so it should accept SIMs from supported carriers. Status can still change if the carrier later locks it.

What does “locked” mean?

The device is reported as locked to a carrier. Another carrier’s SIM may not activate until the original carrier unlocks it.

Does this unlock the phone?

No. This service only checks Sim-Lock status. It does not unlock, jailbreak, or change carrier settings.

Is this the same as a blacklist check?

No. Sim-Lock is about carrier network lock. Blacklist checks look for lost/stolen flags. They answer different questions.

Important: Sim-Lock data comes from third-party sources and can change. Use this report with a physical inspection, proof of purchase, and a live SIM activation test when possible.
This checker reports only SIM lock or unlock status. Do not expect carrier name, network, or other carrier details in the report.
